WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS BOOK : When I first selected this book, I thought the cover was cute. I had no idea that author Jeanne Willis’ touching story would grab at my heartstrings. With lyrical rhyme and nice alliteration, Slug’s story shares his struggle to come to terms with the possibility his own mother may not love him enough to want to hug him. He does everything he can to make himself more attractive, in the hopes his mommy will shower him with the love he so desperately seeks. What a touching ending to this delightful story. A GREAT addition to any library!
