TITLE: Piggie Pie
AUTHOR: Margie Palatini
ILLUSTRATOR: Howard Fine
PUBLISHER: Sandpiper, 1997
SYNOPSIS: “Gritch the witch flies to Old MacDonald’s farm for some pigs to make piggie pie.”
WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS BOOK : Sometimes an oldie is still a goodie! And sometimes a hankering for something good to eat drives a witch to do just about anything to make a tasty meal. A quick trip to old MacDonald’s Farm and Gritch thinks she will be enjoying some delicious PIGGIE PIE in no time. That is, until some smart porkies turn the tables on this impatient witch to teach her a lesson she’ll not soon forget. Even the bright, vibrant illustrations from Howard Fine add to the overall silliness which young readers will enjoy. This “oldie” would definitely make a nice addition to any library!
