WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS BOOK : While I’m a fan of Mo Willems’ work, I wasn’t too sure about this book at first. Sometimes it’s the story that captures a reader’s interest and gets us turning the page to find out what happens next. In this case it was the lovely illustrations by Amber Ren tugging at my heart strings and carrying me along to truly appreciate the deep musical connections the author infuses into the various characters in this story. This picture book is a great starting point for beginner music appreciation as well as getting young readers excited about what music is all about. A nice addition to any library!
