WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS BOOK : I have a feeling that I’m not the only person who enjoys author Karma Wilson’s stories. A FROG IN THE BOG is a cute counting story fashioned after the “woman who swallowed a fly” story. Young readers will be introduced to various critters found in the bog and they will laugh at the whimsical watercolor illustrations provided by Joan Rankin. Growing up near the bayous of southern Louisiana, I can certainly connect with the variety of life found in the bog. A fun addition to any library!

2 stars…there are some things to like, but could elements have been stronger.
3 stars…this story will appeal to some readers but others might find it lacking something.
4 stars…strong story, nice illustrations, and should grab the attention of many readers.
5 stars…superbly written story, stellar illustrations, a must addition to any book lovers’ collection!
