WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS BOOK : This is such a cute story! Poor Hippopotamus discovers a pink spot on her bottom and the search is on for a cure. One animal after another offers ways to take care of the problem with hilarious results! If you like the style of Dr. Seuss, you will love this funny, wacky picture book that the whole family will enjoy, including the surprise ending. A great addition to any library!

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS BOOK : When I first selected this book, I thought the cover was cute. I had no idea that author Jeanne Willis’ touching story would grab at my heartstrings. With lyrical rhyme and nice alliteration, Slug’s story shares his struggle to come to terms with the possibility his own mother may not love him enough to want to hug him. He does everything he can to make himself more attractive, in the hopes his mommy will shower him with the love he so desperately seeks. What a touching ending to this delightful story. A GREAT addition to any library!
