SYNOPSIS: “A parent and baby polar bear have a fun-filled, loving day together in their cheerful Arctic home, as the big bear reassures the little bear that they will be best friends forever. You’ll love snuggling up with your little one and this adorable and soothing picture book celebrating togetherness, friendship, and the unbreakable bonds of family.”
WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS BOOK: I sometimes wonder if I’m the only one who enjoys reading what I consider a “seasonal” book during the actual season. For me, a book about living in the cold Arctic, is a perfect read during a cold winter night. Mr. Fuge’s story connected with me on many levels. As a single mom who usually worked two jobs just to keep food on the table, making memories with my son as he was growing up, was very important to me. Seeing the world through his eyes and reassuring him of my unconditional love mirrored what I discovered in this heartwarming story. I also love Mr. Fuge’s beautiful, whimsical illustrations which turn Arctic’s frigid landscape into a warm and inviting home for two polar bears. Young readers will find reading TOGETHER with their own parent to become their new favorite nighttime ritual! Definitely a great addition to any library!
